PeddieHacks is a 24 hour online hackathon hosted by The Peddie School Computer Science Club in Hightstown, NJ. It's open to all high school students and is a competition where experienced and novice computer programmers work together to design solutions for real world problems and participate in knowledge-based workshops. Even though we are unable to host an in-person hackathon, we hope to make this just as interactive and exciting, so sign up for 24 hours of coding, learning, and fun!

Eligibility

PeddieHacks is open to any high schooler, and teams are made up of 2-4 people. You do not need to have a team beforehand; we will have a team forming session at the beginning of the hackathon. If you would like, you can also compete individually.

PeddieHacks is open to both novice and experienced programmers who want to use their skills to help solve real problems in the world. Programming experience is not required, and you can totally learn to program on the spot or can contribute to your team through graphic design, interface design, etc!

Requirements

The theme will be announced at the opening ceremony on August 22. Please make sure to submit all your code, documentation (notes with summary of project, etc.), and a video of your demo. Additionally, you will also have to do a live presentation in front of the judges after the project deadline.

Scale and novelty of the technology being used, and/or the architectural approach taken.
  • Technical Advancement
